Privacy Policy
Who we are and what this policy covers
Hot Dogs Studio develops games. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].
This policy applies to the products listed below. Other games in our portfolio retain their own privacy notices until they are expressly added here.
Blocktrail
Android package: dev.blocktrail.runner. This notice describes Android version 0.1.1. The earlier 0.1.0 internal test enabled analytics automatically; version 0.1.1 adds the optional choice described below.
Data stored on your device
The game stores your camp, resources, building progress, settings, high score and analytics milestone flags locally. Blocktrail does not provide an account system or cloud saves. Clearing the app’s data or uninstalling it removes these local saves, subject to your device’s backup behaviour.
Analytics
Blocktrail uses Google Analytics for Firebase, provided by Google, to understand whether players start the game, complete runs, build their first building and return on later days. In version 0.1.1, analytics collection is off by default. The game asks you to allow or decline it before collection begins. Declining does not limit gameplay.
Data may include a pseudonymous app-instance identifier, app version, device model, operating system, language, session and engagement information, event timestamps and approximate location derived by Google from the network connection. This is not a request for GPS access.
Game events describe run starts and ends, the selected route, run number, distance, blocks mined, score, completed building and building level. We do not send player names, email addresses or contact lists as game-event parameters.
We use these data to measure first use, gameplay progression and retention, identify usability problems and improve the game. Pseudonymous analytics are not anonymous data.
Advertising, purchases and permissions
This version of Blocktrail has no advertising, in-app purchases, social sign-in or multiplayer. Advertising-ID collection and advertising-personalisation signals are disabled in this build. The game does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone or precise location. Internet access is used for analytics.
Blocktrail 0.1.2 update — 2 November 2026
Google Analytics and Meta App Events ad measurement stay off until separately allowed. The initial card lets you allow both, decline both or choose them individually. Change either choice in Settings. Starting the game or agreeing to the Terms of Use does not itself enable collection.
If you allow Meta, its SDK sends installation and activation information, pseudonymous app/installation identifiers, device and OS information, event times and network information to measure advertising performance and attribute installs. Advertising-ID collection, automatic purchases and automatic gameplay event logging in Meta are disabled. Google gameplay events described above remain subject to the separate Google Analytics choice.
Meta processes its data under its Privacy Policy, including in other countries. Declining or withdrawing does not limit play. Turning a choice off stops new calls to send events; it does not erase data already sent or queued by the SDK. For data questions and requests contact [email protected] and name the game. Clearing phone data does not itself erase data already held by providers.
Service providers and sharing
Analytics data are sent to Google through its Firebase/Google Analytics SDK. Google may process data in countries other than yours under its applicable data-protection arrangements. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy information.
We do not sell Blocktrail player data. We may disclose information where legally required or necessary to protect users, investigate abuse or protect our legal rights. If you email us, we process the address and information you provide to respond to your request.
Retention and security
Local progress remains on your device until cleared. Analytics event and user data are subject to the retention controls configured in Google Analytics; aggregated reports can remain available longer. We keep information for the purposes described above and applicable legal requirements, and remove it when it is no longer needed. Support correspondence is kept for as long as necessary to handle the request and related obligations.
We use access controls and encrypted network connections provided by the services we use. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and rights
In version 0.1.2, disable Google and Meta separately in Settings (in 0.1.1: ANALYTICS → No analytics). This withdraws your consent for future collection. You can enable it again from the same menu. Clearing local app data does not by itself erase analytics already sent to Google. To request information, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or withdrawal of consent where applicable, email [email protected] and name the game. We will handle requests according to applicable law and our ability to identify the relevant data. Please do not send passwords or payment-card details.
Depending on your location, you may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. Where law requires consent for a particular processing activity, that consent must be obtained separately; this policy is not itself a consent request.
Children
Blocktrail does not ask players to submit their age, name or contact details. Parents or guardians with questions about a child’s use of the game or requests concerning their data can contact us at the address above. The game’s store listing provides its content rating.
Changes
We will update this page and its effective date when data practices or covered games change. Material changes will be communicated where required. New SDKs or features will be described in the relevant game’s section.
